Full Stack Developer/Architect Linux (m/f/d)

We are a fast moving company pushing into the renewable energy space, with a good portfolio of existing projects under our belt, with a clear mission to fight energy poverty and make energy sustainable worldwide. We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Designer to join our Pfullendorf team.

You will play a crucial part in the development of our Off-Grid controller, which is our own energy management system.

Your duties

  • Implementation of the system architecture and infrastructure in a Linux based environment, server/edge controller system architecture + database management and understanding of security

  • Develop our EMS with Node.JS, React.JS, Vue.JS in MongoDB and InfluxDB (basic knowledge in renewable energy is a big plus but not required)

  • Manage project planning and system design discussions

  • Manage and develop our IOT portal and embedded linux gateways using Linux based KVM servers, cloud computing with various linux distros and command line programming

  • Develop and apply essential security measures

Your profile

  • You are a linux system engineer by heart, ideally having experience since an early age

  • You have at least 5 years of experience

  • Your degree or lack thereof is not important - you achievements are what matters and you will be interview and measured accordingly

  • As we are a small team you need to be a very hands-on, independent and proactive person

  • Ideally a good understanding of IOT hardware such as breakout boards, PCB design, electrical circuits and how they work in IOT devices

  • Understanding of communication protocols between industrial machinery like Modbus, MQTT and rest API
